Education

Moyo Mzuri helps children with disabilities access school through enrollment support, school materials, meals, uniforms, and inclusion follow-up.

Education Programme

Education that includes every child.

Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and build a better future. Moyo Mzuri helps children with disabilities enroll in school, remain in school, and participate with the materials and support they need.

Education

The barrier

In many rural communities across Uganda, poverty forces families to make difficult choices. Education is often sacrificed when food, transport, health needs, and basic household costs cannot be met.

For children with disabilities, the barriers are even greater. Some children need specialized support, adapted learning materials, consistent meals, transport help, or stronger school follow-up before they can participate fully.

How Moyo Mzuri responds

Through school sponsorship and targeted education support, Moyo Mzuri removes the practical barriers that keep children out of the classroom. The programme focuses on helping children start school, stay in school, and be seen as learners with potential.

  • School enrollment support for children with disabilities.
  • Backpacks with school essentials.
  • Uniforms, shoes, and basic school materials.
  • School meals so children can participate through the day.
  • Follow-up with caregivers and schools when attendance or inclusion becomes difficult.
  • Advocacy so children are welcomed, not turned away.

The outcome

The goal is not only attendance. The goal is belonging. When children have the materials they need and schools are encouraged to include them, they are more likely to attend consistently, learn with confidence, and participate alongside other children.
