Health & Therapy Access
Health & Therapy Access
Moyo Mzuri connects children with disabilities to health referrals, therapy access, caregiver guidance, transport coordination, and follow-up.
Health & Therapy Access Programme
Building bridges to health and therapy.
Many children with disabilities need care their families cannot easily reach. Moyo Mzuri helps families identify needs, connect to providers, and remain engaged in care.
The barrier
Access to health and therapy services is often blocked by distance, cost, information, and coordination. A family may know a child needs support but still struggle to find the right service or continue appointments.
Without guidance and follow-up, children can miss care that would improve mobility, communication, independence, and overall quality of life.
How Moyo Mzuri responds
Moyo Mzuri works closely with families, communities, local health centers, therapists, and service providers to connect children to the support they need.
- Identification of children who need medical care, rehabilitation, or specialized therapy.
- Referrals to physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and routine medical care.
- Caregiver information and guidance so families understand next steps.
- Follow-up after referral so care does not end on paper.
- Transport and coordination support where possible.
Why follow-up matters
A referral is only the beginning. Moyo Mzuri supports caregivers so they can keep appointments, understand recommendations, and stay involved in their child’s progress.
The outcome
Through this programme, children are not only receiving treatment. They are gaining opportunities for improved movement, communication, independence, confidence, and participation in daily life.
